Verdi in Parma & Busseto
27 September – 01 October 2018
5-Day Escorted Tour

This very popular tour features four premiere performances of superb Verdi operas in some historic and quite exceptional theatres. Teatro Regio in Parma was built in 1829 by ex-Empress Maria-Luisa, modelled on La Scala in Milan. One of the most illustrious opera houses in Italy, it enjoys a certain prestige derived from its Verdian associations but does not rest on its laurels! The tiny Teatro Verdi in Busseto dates from 1856; while Teatro Farnese [1628] is to be found within the vast ducal palace in the centre of Parma.

Parma itself needs no introduction as the heart of Italian gastronomy!
