Opera houses might all be locked down for the moment but we can still enjoy opera and plan future trips. Here are some things we found interesting, entertaining or both.

Opera Prelude

A very worthwhile cause

 

A client has recently introduced us to operaprelude.org

Opera Prelude is a registered charity doing invaluable work supporting young singers in the transitional period between leaving conservatoire and embarking on a professional career.

They create fairly paid performance opportunities, something which can be surprisingly hard to come by as a young singer, and networking opportunities as well as bursaries and mini-grants to help young artists.

Their website currently offers a fascinating collections of musical lectures - click here to view. They do request a modest donation, but to secure the future of opera, it seems very fair!
