Covent Garden is LIVE again!
Starting 13th June
Make a note in your diary! On Saturday 13th June at 7.30pm, The Royal Opera House will broadcast its first live performance since the COVID-19 pandemic forced its closure on 17th March.
Hosted by the Royal Opera House Director of Music, Antonio Pappano, and the BBC’s Anita Rani, and with by a limited number of artists, this first concert will draw on the Royal Opera House’s heritage.
Stars including Louise Alder, Toby Spence and Gerald Finley, will perform a programme inlcuding works from Benjamin Britten and George Frederic Handel, as well as repertory favourites, from George Butterworth to Mark Anthony Turnage.
With income slashed by 60% due to the pandemic, The Royal Opera House is hoping that viewers will contribute by donation for this first live concert. The following two performances on Saturday 20 June and Saturday 27 June will be available to view live and on demand for just £4.99.
