2019 Rossini Festival

The Rossini Opera Festival has announced its 2019 festival.

During a press conference for its 2018 festival, it was revealed that there will be two new productions and a revival.

The first new production of the festival will be “Semiramide” with Graham Vick directing the production and Michele Mariotti conducting.

The second new production will be “L’equivoco stravagante.” Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier will make their debuts in Pesaro with Carlo Rizzi conducting.

The final title of the festival will a revival of the rarely performed “Demetrio e Polibio” from Davide Livermore with Paolo Arrivabeni conducting.

The 2018 is set to open on August 11and will see the return of Juan Diego Flórez, Pretty Yende and the debut of Lisette Oropesa. The festival runs until the 23 of August.
