Impossible to overstate the beauty and emotional energy of this great city. Its influence has spread to all parts of Europe and beyond. It is a symbol of Christianity adn a major centre of the arts. As if the great ancient sites of the Coliseum, Roman Forum, Palatino, Pantheon and Castel Sant' Angelo are not enough the riches on display in St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican are overwhelming. Strolling through the city past the Trevi fountain, Piazza Navonna, Piazza di Spagna is a joy.
