Budapest
Parliament Building and the Danube

Budapest

Spa town, straddling the River Danube. Buda, the historic town with its Royal Castle (home of the Habsburg representatives), majestically overlooking the left bank, linked by the famous Chain Bridge, to Pest. Budapest was formed in 1872 but the origins of the city go way back to the Roman Empire (remains of the Roman Garrison can still be seen at Obuda). Musically dynamic and diverse: famous as the birthplace of Bartók, Erkel, Lehár, & Liszt.

3 Day Tour Price from £499 per person
