Germany's capital just gets better and better. A now vast city but with a small population of just over 3 million. And three superb opera houses. Excellent transport system and little in the way of traffic jams! The area around K'damm still offers outstanding shopping. With effect from June 2012, flights to Berlin will use the new Brandenburg Airport [BER] located 18kms southeast of the city and linked by a 20-minute shuttle train service to the city centre.
